A story from Valencia
It all began among the rice fields.
In Valencia's l'Albufera, where sunlight dances across the rice fields and the scent of woodsmoke mingles with the breeze, paella was born. Farmers gathered what the land provided —rice, vegetables, beans and meat— and cooked it slowly over the fire in one large paella for everyone to share.
It was a simple meal, yet it had something special: a break from work became a moment of togetherness. The rice absorbed the stock and every flavour, the prized socarrat formed underneath and, around the fire, that unmistakably Valencian way of celebrating life began.
Today we bring that same Mediterranean ritual to the Netherlands: the fire lit, the paella at the centre and everyone gathered, ready to enjoy.
